The City of Waterloo is launching the Community Happiness Project. Residents of the region can submit positive images and audio messages on the City’s website which will be assembled into a sign and posted throughout the city. The finished product can then be accessed by QR codes. Submissions for the project will be accepted no later than February 12th.
“Being isolated from one another does not diminish the strength of our community. Now more than ever we need safe ways to connect,” says Waterloo Mayor Dave Jaworsky. “Throughout the pandemic, the community has shown tremendous support for one another. The Community Happiness Project allows residents to both give and receive messages of hope and positivity. It helps us remember we are all in this together.”
This is an amazing initiative to spread happiness during these difficult times. As a strong advocate for the community, the team at Valko Financial is beyond excited to see the finished product!
